Privacy Policy
What estostay.com stores about you, and why.
Short version: without an account, nothing about you leaves your browser except what any website receives. With an account, we keep your profile, your saved stays and your recent searches, and you can delete all of it at any time.
Without an account
- Saved stays, recent searches, currency and language are kept in your browser's local storage on your device.
- What you type into the search is read in your browser. To show live hotel prices, the destination, dates, number of guests and budget are sent to our server and on to our hotel data provider, Amadeus.
With an account
- Profile: your email address, and the name and picture your sign-in provider shares (for example Google). Used to sign you in and show your account.
- Saved stays and recent searches: so they follow you between devices.
- Preferences: your currency.
- Sign-in: a session cookie keeps you signed in. Email sign-in links are sent by our email provider, Resend.
Account data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon in the European Union. You can delete your account from the account page. That removes your profile, saved stays and search history immediately.
What our servers see
Like any website, our hosting (Vercel) receives the technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and keep the service secure.
